Biography

Born in 1971, graduated from the Historical Institute of the University of Warsaw (1998), PhD in 2008 (Historical Faculty of the University of Warsaw), habilitation in 2019 (Historical Faculty of the University of Warsaw). In the years 1996-2016 employee of the Jewish Historical Institute (ŻIH) in Warsaw, Vice-Chairman of the Scientific Council of the ŻIH in 2009-2010, Secretary of the Board of the Association of the ŻIH in 2011-2015, expert at the Parliamentary Committee on National and Ethnic Minorities (2010, 2014), scholarship holder of, among others, Yad Vashem and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. Yad Vashem and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (Washington), member of the editorial board of “Studies in Political and Historical Geography”, awarded the badge “Meritorious for Polish Culture” by the Minister of Culture in 2015 for his participation in the creation of the main exhibition of the Museum of the History of Polish Jews Polin, employed at the Historical Institute as an assistant professor since 2016.
Research interests: workers’ movement and the Polish left in the 20th century, Marxism, history of Polish Jews after 1939.
