Visiting professor at the Faculty of History
We are already pleased to announce that Katinka Sewing from the University of Heidelberg will be a visiting professor at the Faculty of History from 1 April to 30 June 2024 as part of the ‘4EU+ Visiting Professorships’.
Ms. Sewing’s research interests include the material culture of the Eastern Mediterranean with a special focus on art and architecture of late antiquity, women’s lives in late Byzantine antiquity.
4EU+ Visiting Professorships is an initiative to foster cooperation and knowledge exchange between academic staff, students and doctoral students of member universities. In the 2023 pilot call, nine candidates were selected for a two- or three-month stay at another 4EU+ university. One of the nine will go to our Faculty. The aim of such visits is joint educational and research activities. More information
