M.A. Victoria Gerasimova
Biography
Dr. Victoria Gerasimova graduated Center for Biblical and Jewish Studies at Russian State University for the Humanities (2009). Received her degree in 2013 with a thesis titled “Jewish Converts in the Russian Empire of the XVIII century: Peculiarities of Socio-Cultural Adaptation”. Her main research interests include social history of Jewish in Eastern and Central Europe, Jewish-Christian relations, and digital research in Jewish Studies. She served a guest co-editor of the 5th issue of “Judaic-Slavic Journal” on the History of Jews in Siberia and Russian Far East and authored a book “Insignificant Minority: Jews in Siberia, 1920-30s” (in print). Currently she is working on the project about Jewish conversions in the Kingdom of Poland, 1864-1915.
