Recruitment open for Polish Language Course for international employees!
The University of Warsaw is offering an unpaid 30-hour online Polish language courses. Classes will be held twice a week between October and December, 2024. The courses are intended for University employees.
In these courses we offer:
- free participation
- 30 hours of Polish language classes
- professional and passionate teaching team of Polonicum UW
- online classes
- placement test
- great atmosphere in the international environment
Obligations of participants:
- active participation
- at least 80% presence
We currently offer 4 levels of proficiency:

A0 LEVEL
Course for complete beginners. Participants will explore at the elementary level essential phrases, eg. how to buy a ticket, order a coffee or lunch and phrases essential for basic social life in Poland.

Duration: October 14th – December 4th, 2024
Classes on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

A1.4 LEVEL
Continuation of the course (4th semester) for beginners. The group is for anyone who can: present themselves both personally and professionally, talk about their daily routine, suggest a meeting, specify the time and place – agree to or decline it, talk about what they did yesterday, over the weekend, five years ago… and what plans they have for the near future.

Duration: October 16th – December 6th, 2024
Classes on Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

B1.2 level
Continuation of the intermediate course (2nd trimester). Requirements for participants: completed Polish language course on A2 level + placement test.

Classes on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:45 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.

B2.3 level
Continuation of the course (2nd trimester) on upper intermediate level. Requirements for participants: completed Polish language course on B1 level + placement test.
Teacher: Paulina Potasińska
Duration: October 14th – December 4th, 2024
Classes on: Mondays and Wednesdays, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
WHO CAN APPLY?
The courses are intended for international employees of the University of Warsaw.
An employee should be understood as a person employed during the period of implementation of the development activity at the University on the basis of a contract of employment or appointment, in the group of academic teachers or non-academic employees;
HOW TO SIGN-UP?
To sign up, visit the placement test page on the Kampus Platform (a CAS account is required to log in). Remember to save your results by clicking the “Zapisz” button at the end of the test. Then, sign up for a group according to your test result:
- A0 level, teachers: Katarzyna Kołak-Danyi & Paulina Potasińska, Mondays and Wednesdays, 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
- A1.4 level, teacher: Katarzyna Kołak-Danyi, Wednesdays and Fridays, 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
- B1.2 level, teacher: Małgorzata Malinowska, Mondays and Wednesdays, 4:45 p.m. – 6:15 p.m.
- B2.3 level, teacher: Paulina Potasińska, Mondays and Wednesdays, 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

- In order to attend the course Persons who do not work as academic teachers are asked to send permission form signed by their immediate supervisor to welcome.event@uw.edu.pl. The supervisor’s consent template can be downloaded here (WORD EN)

Please note that the number of places is limited. Priority is given to persons continuing the course.
