Warsaw Dialogue for Democracy
On behalf of the Rector of the University of Warsaw, Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, we invite you to the international conference “Warsaw Dialogue for Democracy”, which will be held on November 18-19, 2024 at the University of Warsaw. The conference theme will be “The impact of new technologies on democracy and human rights”.
Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe Bjørn Berge will give an inaugural lecture, after which there will be an opportunity to ask questions. We invite you on November 18, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. to the Senate Hall in the Kazimierzowski Palace at ul. Krakowskie Przedmieście 26/28.
November 19, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. in auditorium 0.410 at ul. Dobra 55 will host 3 panel sessions:
Panel 1: New technologies – a double-edged sword in the fight for freedom and democracy
Panel 2: Artificial Intelligence: Opportunities and Challenges for Human Rights
Panel 3: Disinformation and fake news – a growing threat to democracy and security
Those willing to participate in the conference are asked to send an application to promocja@uw.edu.pl, providing their name, surname and date of participation (November 18 and/or 19). Applications will be accepted until the limit of places is filled.
The conference will be held in English. The event is organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the University of Warsaw.
