Jan Czempiński, graduate of sociology and history at the College of Interdisciplinary Individual Studies in the Humanities (MISH) at the University of Warsaw (master’s thesis: ‘»An impulsive vital conservatism«. A history of reflection on Polishness from the Trilogy in Marcin Król’s Romantic Journey’, 2023) and the Oxford-based New Generation Research Exchange (project: ‘Are myths true? The polemics between Leszek Kołakowski and Marcin Król’, 2023).

 

Research topics

Research area: social history of ideas. The doctoral thesis focuses on the reception of Zagłoba, main character of the Trilogy by Henryk Sienkiewicz.
