Short description:
This project examines Mexico’s extended conservative mobilization around the figure of the child. It analyzes this figure not as a static ideology but as a dynamic figuration—a changing network of power relationships within both national and transnational contexts. Using Norbert Elias’s figurational sociology, the project traces the historical evolution of this crusade from the 19th to the 21st century, from the critique of civil marriage to the anti gender movements.
