Call for a two-week research internship in Berlin

We invite you to take part in the competition for a two-week research internship at the Centre for Historical Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences (CBH PAS) in Berlin. The internship should be completed during the winter semester, i.e. by February 15, 2027, and the travel costs will be fully covered by university funds.

All academic staff members employed at the Faculty of History of the University of Warsaw are eligible to apply for funding for research trips to Berlin. We especially encourage applications from early-career Faculty researchers.

Recipients of the funding are required to deliver at least one presentation in a conference language during a seminar event organized by CBH PAS in Berlin and to plan research queries in Berlin’s libraries and archives (specifying the particular institutions).

Applications must be submitted electronically via the application form by 31 May 2026.
The results of the competition will be announced no later than 30 June 2026.
