dr Gabriele Bonomelli
Biography
Dr. Gabriele Bonomelli is currently employed as postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Medieval history of the University of Warsaw.
He obtained his PhD in Medieval history at the University of Bologna in 2022 (research project: “The political use of fiction. Fictitious letters in the Latin and Vernacular Middle Ages, 12th-15th C.”)
From 2023 to 2025 he worked as postdoc at the University of Kent (Newton International Fellow) on the research project “Dynamics of conflict. Original perspectives on religious turmoil in Late Medieval and Early Modern Europe (1378-1603)”.
His research interests revolve around the political and institutional history of the Late Middle Ages as well as the critical edition of Latin primary sources.
