M.A. Karol Banach

I have been affiliated with the Faculty of History of the Warsaw University since 2018. I completed my bachelor’s thesis in 2021, titled “From rags to riches? Economic ascension of an English peasant at the turn of the 11th and 12th century, based on Reginald of Durham’s ‘Libellus de vita et miraculis S. Godrici de Finchale.’” My master’s thesis, defended in 2023, was titled “From the Carta Mercatoria to the Statutes of Kenilworth: Legal and Institutional Conditions of the German Hanseatic Trade in the Kingdom of England in the Years 1303-1326.”

My doctoral thesis examines the long-distance trade networks of Mazovia from the second quarter of the 13th century until 1526.
