M.A. Ladislas Latoch
Biography
Born in Paris in 1994, he graduated from the École normale supérieure and earned a master’s degree in modern history from the Sorbonne in 2017. After passing the agrégation in history in 2018, he worked as a French lector at the University of Kent. He was then involved in a research programme centred on collections of travel literature at the Bibliothèque Sainte-Geneviève. His research interests include the history of political culture in 16th-century Europe, religious history, and history of travel & geography. He is currently pursuing a PhD on the significance of the 1573 Polish royal election for French and Italian political and religious culture, as well as on Henry of Valois’s plans for ruling the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, under the joint supervision of Prof. Marek Janicki and Prof. Alain Tallon.
