Biography

Born in 1993. Earned a Master’s degree from the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy in Ukraine (2016) and a Ph.D. from the University of Warsaw (2021). His doctoral dissertation, written under the supervision of Prof. Katarzyna Błachowska, received first prizes in both the competition held by the Kultura Literary Institute Association for the best doctoral dissertations and the Władysław Pobóg-Malinowski Competition for the Best Historical Debut of the Year in the field of contemporary history.
From 2022 to 2025, he was a research fellow at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin, where he carried out a project funded by the National Science Centre (NCN) on the history of Polish émigré Sovietologists during the Cold War. His research interests include Polish-Ukrainian relations, the history of political thought in East-Central Europe, the intellectual history of émigré communities from the region, and the diplomatic history of the Cold War.
He is the author of two academic monographs: The Republic of Scholars: The Emergence of Ukrainian Studies and the Polish-Ukrainian Dialogue in the United States, 1939–1991 (East European Studies, University of Warsaw, 2024) and To Build a Republic of Spirit: A History of the Fulbright Program in Poland, 1945–2020 (PWN, 2024).
He has been a fellow of, among others, the Polish-U.S. Fulbright Commission, the Canadian Institute of Ukrainian Studies at the University of Alberta, and the Shevchenko Scientific Society of Canada.
