Ancient History and History at the University of Warsaw among the world’s top in the QS Rankings

The University of Warsaw has been ranked in 27 disciplines in the latest edition of the QS World University Rankings by Subject, which covers over 1,700 institutions worldwide. The ranking identifies the world’s top universities across 55 academic disciplines grouped into five broad subject areas.
Particularly high positions were achieved by disciplines taught at our Faculty:
Ancient History was ranked in the 51–150 range, making it one of the University of Warsaw’s highest results in this year’s ranking. History more broadly was also ranked highly, in the 101–150 range. Notably, Ancient History was included in the ranking for the first time and immediately achieved a very strong position.
This year’s results confirm the strong international standing of the Warsaw historical research community.
The ranking also includes other disciplines represented at the University of Warsaw, such as archaeology, modern languages, philosophy, religious studies, and social sciences, further highlighting the interdisciplinary nature of research conducted at the University.
