New regulations regarding the functioning of electronic mail

We would like to inform you of the publication of Ordinance No. 39 of the Rector of the University of Warsaw of 13 April 2026 concerning the Rules and Regulations for the creation, use and deactivation of the University of Warsaw electronic mail system.

The new regulations govern matters related to the creation, maintenance and deactivation of email accounts operating within the University of Warsaw and establish detailed procedures and conditions in this regard.

The ordinance also specifies the rights and obligations of email account users, including the principles for using email accounts in accordance with their intended purpose and the standards applicable within the academic environment. Furthermore, the regulations introduce mechanisms and standards aimed at ensuring the secure use of email accounts, including data protection, prevention of unauthorised access and minimisation of risks associated with their use.
