Once Again, We’re the Best!

We are proud to announce that the History program run by the Faculty of History at the University of Warsaw has been ranked the best in Poland in the 2025 Study Program Ranking, part of the Perspektywy 2025 Higher Education Ranking.

This is yet another confirmation of the high quality of education, the dedication of our Faculty, and the ambition and hard work of the entire community of the Faculty of History at the University of Warsaw.

The Perspektywy 2025 Study Program Ranking, depending on the specifics of a given discipline, is based on indicators such as prestige, graduate employment rate, academic and teaching potential, and internationalization. In this year’s edition of the 2025 Academic Institutions Ranking, the „Citations” indicator – most susceptible to manipulation by dishonest researchers – was removed. The Ranking Committee also decided to reduce the weight of the „Evaluation of Scientific Activity” indicator.

At the same time, our Alma Mater – the University of Warsaw – achieved success by taking first place in the 26th edition of the Perspektywy 2025 Higher Education Ranking.

 

The Ranking Committee was chaired by Prof. Michał Kleiber, former president of the Polish Academy of Sciences, and included distinguished representatives from the world of science, public administration, and the education sector:

  • Prof. Marek Safjan, former judge of the Court of Justice of the EU
  • Prof. Wiesław Banyś, former chair of KRASP
  • Prof. Krzysztof Diks, Faculty of MIM, University of Warsaw
  • Prof. Bogusław Smólski, former rector-commander of the Military University of Technology
  • Prof. Marek Krawczyk, former rector of the Medical University of Warsaw
  • Dr. Żaneta Zemła-Pacud, Deputy President of the Polish Patent Office
  • Dr. Jarosław Protasiewicz, Director of OPI – PIB
  • Włodzimierz Kiciński, Vice-President of the Polish Bank Association
  • Tomasz Psonka, Director of Elsevier for Central and Eastern Europe
  • Prof. Janusz Uriasz, Chair of the Polish Accreditation Committee
  • Waldemar Siwiński, Head of the Higher Education Ranking
