Professor Agnieszka Bartoszewicz
Biography
She specializes in research on late medieval culture and society. In 1990 she graduated from history studies at the University of Warsaw, in 1995 she defended her doctoral dissertation Warta – the society of the city in the second half of the fifteenth and the beginning of the sixteenth century. Her later research focused on issues related to intellectual culture, especially the urban culture of writing. Habilitation 2004, prof. UW 2009, title of professor 2014. Recently, in connection with the source edition of jury books the subject of her studies has been the history of Warsaw. She also deals with the history of cartography and historical geography. She is the author of four monographs and about 100 articles and scientific reviews, moreover, together with Henryk Bartoszewicz she published two monographs on the history of cartography.
