Professor Jarosław Czubaty

B. 1961; M.A. in History, Warsaw University, 1986, Ph.D. therein, 1996, Habilitation therein, 2006; 2011 Professor, Warsaw University; Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Historical Institute, Warsaw University (2012-2020); Chairman of the Scientific Council of the History Discipline at the Warsaw University (2020). Author of textbooks for teaching history in high school; winner of the 2005 Klio Prize of the Alliance of History Book Publishers. (for the book “The Principle of Two Consciences”). Awarded by the City of Warsaw (2018).
Main research interests: social transformations, political mentality, ideologies, military history of the late eighteenth and first half of the nineteenth centuries.
