Graduated with honours and highest distinction (summa cum laude) with a Bachelor of Arts (2023) ensued by a Master of Arts degree (2025) in History from the Faculty of History at the University of Warsaw. Ms Tyszkiewicz’s bachelor’s thesis (“Childbirth rituals at the court of Henry VIII”) and master’s thesis (“The repressions implemented by Henry VIII towards Catherine of Aragon ensuing the rescindment of their connubial union”) were composed and defended under the academic supervision of Professor Jolanta Choińska-Mika from the Department of Early Modern History. A PhD candidate in History at the Doctoral School of Humanities at the University of Warsaw. Under the adjoined academic expertise and guidance of Professor Jolanta Choińska-Mika and Professor Agnieszka Bartoszewicz she is composing her doctoral thesis titled “The royal court of the Spanish Infanta Catherine of Aragon in Tudor England. Cultural transfer or assimilation?”.
Her academic research focuses on Early Modern England under the reign of the Tudor dynasty with a particular emphasis placed on courtly culture and rituals of English queens. She is passionate about the concepts of femininity, sexuality and corporeality throughout the Middle Ages and the Early Modern period, as well as the involvement and role of queens in politics, culture, religion and society (Queenship studies).
