Professor Jolanta Choińska-Mika

Biography

Associated with the Institute of History since 1976. – She has been affiliated with the Historical Institute since 1976 as a student, assistant, lecturer and professor at the University of Warsaw. D. in 1991 and habilitation in 2004. Research interests: parliamentarism, Old Polish political culture and social communication, history of the British Isles in 16th – 17th centuries. Deputy Director of the IH from 2005 to 2012, Vice-Chancellor for students and quality of education from 2016 to 2020, Member of the Council of the Polish History Museum (since 2006), Scientific Council of the Yearbook “Museum Studies” (since 2015), Chairman of the Council of the Polish History Museum. (since 2015), Chairman of the Council of the Kosciuszko Foundation – Poland (since 2017). From 2010 to 2016 she cooperated with the Institute of Educational Research. Author of school textbooks and teaching materials, expert of the Central Examination Commission.
