Professor Mirosław Nagielski

Graduated in history from the University of Warsaw in 1976; Ph.D. in 1982, habilitation in 1995; professor title in 2012. Specializes in military biography, Polish and general history of the 16th-17th centuries, military history, history of parliamentarism in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth in the 17th century and the history of the Zaporozhian Cossacks in the 16th-17th centuries. Between 2002 and 2008 Deputy Director for General Affairs of the Historical Institute; between 2008 and 2016 Deputy Dean for Finance and Research of the Faculty of History, University of Warsaw.
