Results of the indicative vote and subsequent electoral steps

about the final results of the indicative vote
and on the election to select candidate
for the dean of the Faculty of History of the UW in the term 2024 – 2028

1. The indicative ballot for the election to select a candidate for Dean of the Faculty of History for the term 2024 – 2028 of 22 April 2024 identified three candidates for the electoral ballot who received a minimum of 10% of the total votes:

• Jolanta Choińska-Mika
• Michał Leśniewski
• Łukasz Niesiołowski-Spanò

2. Even before the deadline of 30 April 2024, the Faculty Election Committee received formal notifications from the two persons indicated in the indicative ballot (Prof. Jolanta Choińska-Mika and Prof. Michał Leśniewski) that they were resigning from standing for election. At the same time, Prof. Łukasz Niesiołowski-Spanò confirmed his candidacy and submitted the relevant documents.

3. Thus, the vote will be for one candidate, and the result will be decided by an absolute majority of ‘YES’ votes, with the participation of more than half of the statutory membership of the College of Faculty Electors.

4. The electoral vote will take place on 13 May 2024 and the voting links in the “Ankieter” system will be available between 10.00 a.m. and 8.00 p.m. The Faculty Election Committee asks for active participation in the electoral process.
