Professor Konrad Bobiatyński


Born June 28, 1977 in Warsaw; 1996-2001 studies at the IHUW; M.A. in 2001; Ph.D. in 2006 (under the supervision of Prof. M. Nagielski); Ph.D. in 2017. Scholarship holder of the Foundation for Polish Science (“Start” 2005, 2006, “Querenda” 2011); DAAD scholarship holder in Berlin (FUB) – 2007; scholarship of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education for outstanding young scientists (2012); member of the Lituanist Commission of the Polish Academy of Sciences (since 2012); awards: Association of Military Historians for the best doctoral thesis in the field (2007), Clio (2009, 2017); medal “Meritorious for the Historical Olympiad” (2015). Member of the editorial board of the “Lituanist Yearbook” (since 2020).

Academic interests: history of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in the second half of the seventeenth century, Old Polish art of warfare XVI-XVII centuries, relations of the Republic of Poland with the Moscow State XVI-XVII centuries.
