Magisterium z filologii klasycznej 2006, a następnie doktorat 2012; licencjat z filologii polskiej 2009; podyplomowo glottodydaktyka języka polskiego 2010; wszystkie dyplomy uzyskane na Uniwersytecie Warszawskim. Stypendia badawcze w Paryżu (Sorbonne), w Bloomington, USA, Szwajcarii (Fondation Hardt), Londynie (Fundacja Lanckorońskich).
2013-2017 – adiunkt w Katedrze Filologii Klasycznej w Uniwersytecie Śląskim. 2017-2018 – adiunkt w projekcie badawczym “Cult of Saints in Late Antiquity” (ERC Advanced Grant). Od 2019 kierownik projektu “Epifanie świętych w późnoantycznej literaturze greckiej” (NCN, Sonata).
Zainteresowania naukowe: cesarska proza grecka i łacińska; historia mentalności, antropologia literatury (zwł. koncepcja liminalności).
