Konsultacje
Po studiach z zakresu archeologii chrześcijańskiej na Uniwersytecie w Münster (M.A. 2012) oraz badań nad historyczną architekturą na Uniwersytecie w Ratyzbonie (M.A. 2014), Katinka Sewing uzyskała stopień doktora archeologii bizantyńskiej na Uniwersytecie w Heidelbergu (2020).
Jej badania koncentrują się na architekturze, urbanistyce i przemianach przestrzeni sakralnej w późnej starożytności i w okresie bizantyńskim na obszarze wschodniego Morza Śródziemnego. Brała udział w licznych projektach terenowych w Azji Mniejszej, w tym przy badaniach bazyliki biskupiej w Doliche, analizując, jak chrystianizacja przekształcała miejskie i rytualne krajobrazy w IV–VII wieku n.e.
Katinka Sewing otrzymała stypendium Marii Skłodowskiej-Curie, które będzie realizowane na naszym wydziale. Katinka Sewing będzie pracować nad projektem “The Missing Piece: Euphratesia as a Hub of Sacred Architecture within the Cultural Landscape of Late Antique Northern Syria”.
